The Michigan Movie Critics Guild is pleased to announce the Best of 2025 winners in fourteen categories. The Michigan Movie Critics Guild was founded in 2023 and consists of a group of 18 film critics from “The Mitten”, who write and/or broadcast throughout the entire state of Michigan.
Each critic submitted their top five choices in the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Animated Film, Best Documentary, Best Ensemble, Best Screenplay (Adapted or Original), Best Stunts, Best Cinematography, Breakthrough Award, and lastly The MMCG Award for Film Excellence; making for a total of 14 categories. From these submissions, each entry was given a point value and the top five in each category were placed on the final ballot. From there, winners have been chosen based on the same point system. Below are the nominees with winners in red bold font. Time to see what made the cut in 2025!
