The Reel Godfather’s Top Films of 2022

Hello all. We’ve reached another flip of the calendar and that inevitably means we start looking towards the new year and what surprises or disappoints it might bring with it. Before ringing in 2023, I’d like to look back at 2022, and in particular, which films tickled my fancy as an avid moviegoer whose tastes seem to be all over the place. And once again, throwing tons of cash into the production of something doesn’t make it a lock for cracking the top ten, or fifteen in this case. There were a couple massively budgeted titles out there that came close landing on my list, (Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) while there were also a couple that didn’t come close (Lightyear, The Gray Man). With this being said, here’s my list of top films of 2022.

Bullet Train

  1. I loved Bullet Train, Top Gun Maverick, The Fablemans and Till. Of your list those are the ones I’ve seen and liked. Black Phone’s main character was too annoying for me but I did love his little sister. Plan to see Babylon tomorrow or Monday, even though that run time is a bit much!!
