Time for a Reel DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES review

About the film (courtesy of Paramount Pictures Presents In Association with eOne):
A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a fantasy adventure film based on the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons. The film is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Gilio from a story by Chris McKay and Gilio. It stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Hugh Grant.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a fun and exciting film that will appeal to fans of the game and of fantasy films in general. The cast is eclectic and rather entertaining, also the action sequences are well-choreographed. The film is also surprisingly funny, with some great one-liners and slapstick comedy.

However, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is not without its flaws. The plot is a bit convoluted, and it can be difficult to keep track of who is who and what is going on. The movie is also pretty long, clocking in at over two hours, for the story it covers.

Overall, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a good film that is worth watching. It is a fun and exciting adventure movie with a great cast and some great action sequences. However, the film is not without its flaws, and it may not appeal to everyone.

There has been a CRAZY amount of advertising dollars shoveled into Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which had me very suspicious as to what type of quality would be present upon experiencing it on a whole. Decent, but not deserving of all of the high praise seems to be scattered about in the media, but maybe that’s just me.

Either way, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is in theaters right now and a lot of people are going to go see it. While I cannot fully endorse paying top-dollar to go see this right away, I can say that those who are drawn to this specific sub-genre, might be completely enthralled with everything.
